Patient Choice Program

AstraZeneca Canada is pleased to offer our patients a choice to stay on our medications through the innoviCares program. The innoviCares card will cover a portion of the cost of your brand name drug when presented with your prescription at your local pharmacy. Click on the link below to find out if your medication is part of this program.

How it works: Patients can download a card at

Toll-free: 1-877-790-1991

innoviCares works like a drug insurance card. Patients simply provide their card to a pharmacist along with their prescription at each pharmacy visit.

Registered members receive new product updates, can monitor their benefits, and refer friends and family members to the program.

Patient Assistance Program

The Patient Assistance Program is available to patients in financial need who meet the eligibility requirements for select medications only.

Is Your Patient Unable to Afford their Medication due to COVID-19?

Job loss often means loss of private insurance benefits, including prescription drug coverage; in these unprecedented times, AstraZeneca believes pandemic-related job loss shouldn’t force patients to stop taking their medicines because they can’t afford them.

The AZCares Canada Program is a new assistance program specifically for patients who are already using an AstraZeneca medication and are now in financial need due to COVID-19 related job loss/circumstances. This program provides up to 6 months of prescribed AstraZeneca medicines free-of-charge. Patients can be enrolled into the program until December 31, 2020.

For more details about this program or program eligibility, contact our Medical Information Department at 1-800-668-6000 or click below to download our AZCares Canada Program Enrollment Form.
